# VocaBrief — Privacy Policy

VocaBrief is an AI-powered meeting assistant that records your meetings locally on your device and processes them in the cloud to generate transcripts and structured summaries.

## 1. Information we collect

- **Account information:** When user authentication is enabled, we will collect the information you provide during registration (name, email).
- **Meeting recordings:** Audio recordings of your meetings are temporarily stored in cloud storage solely for processing and are deleted immediately after transcription and summary generation.
- **Usage data:** Basic usage metrics (feature interactions) may be collected anonymously to improve the service.

## 2. How we use your information

- To provide and improve VocaBrief
- To generate transcripts and summaries
- To communicate with you about your account or the service
- To verify you are human via Cloudflare Turnstile (we do not store the Turnstile token itself)

## 3. Data retention

- Cloud audio recordings are retained **temporarily only** and deleted after processing.
- Local recordings remain on your device unless you choose to delete them.
- Once authenticated, minimal user account data (email) is retained for the lifetime of your account.

## 4. International transfers

Data may be processed in countries other than your own. We rely on Cloudflare's global infrastructure and implement appropriate safeguards.
